"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

I have an urgent prayer request for this little miracle girl named Emma Grace. She is the daughter of Heather and Mark, from Especially Heather. I previously posted on Heather, on my first TSMS April 19th, as my inspiration for starting my own blog...because I saw what a ministry she has dealing with her own personal struggle with cancer and this aMazing story of

I hope Heather will not object to me quoting from her blog here for you to PLEASE PRAY!!!
"...We recieved a call from Emma’s school yesterday around noon. Her teacher said that she was “sitting at her desk, non engaged, and her lips were blue”. I called Mark, called my parents to watch the kids, and went to pick her and Mark up. When we arrived at All Childrens in St. Pete, they did an Echocardiogram, which I can read. I asked the tech if what she was looking at was fluid around her heart, and she said that she couldnt tell me yes or no, but that was a “good educated guess”. I knew right then that there was something seriously wrong. When she left the room, she said that she couldnt tell us what she saw, but that she wouuld be calling the transplant team as soon as she left our room....

and Heather ends with...

"...I don’t have it in me to type out requests, so please forgive me. Just pray for her, that the Lord would protect this heart and that we would make the right decisions regarding her care. We would prefer to be in Gainesville at Shands, but her transplant doctor up there doesnt think she is stable enough to handle the transport. I asked the Cardiologist here “On a scale from 1-10, how bad is she”. His answer was 7-8.
For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.” -Psalm 27:5

IF YOU KNOW HEATHER, or even if you don't(read her blog), this is a heartcry of a parent
who has been coping all week with her own health and chemo treatment and now this...

PLEASE PRAY and LEAVE HER A COMMENT that you are holding her(them)in prayer!

This afternoon, while visiting TSMS posts, I was made aware by Mocha with Linda, that the group SELAH, once more are grieving:Angie & Todd Smith, Todd's sister Nichol(who sang with them in the past)and her husband, Greg, NEED PRAYER also for the loss of their son, Luke to SIDS, he was just born in March amidst all the sadness of Angie & Todd bidding farewell to their baby Audrey Carolyn. Angie's site BRING THE RAIN has definite prayer requests and much more heartfelt touch. They are under such a "veil of grief" according to the site, PLEASE PRAY & SHOW YOUR SUPPORT! (Click on the site and it will link you to their specific prayer needs).

It's time for THEN SING MY SOUL SATURDAY(click here)
and join us at Signs, Miracles and Wonders and BE BLESSED!

(Available on Here I Am to Worship2 & The Journey EP)

When we're soaked by the rain of sorrow
When we're battered by winds of change
When the world all around is shaken
And we're deafened by crashing waves
We call out to You
You are stronger than the storm
You are reigning over all
Faithful God you’re always in control
You’re the anchor of peace for our souls

With one word You can calm the ocean
Turning chaos to glass-like sea
Speak unshakeable hope to our hearts
Be our fortress of perfect peace

We will trust in You
You'll turn the darkness into dawn
We'll feel the sunlight's healing warmth
Once more...

Since I couldn't find this song on YouTube or Godtube,

(I have it on my CD & in my laptop)
I chose another one by Casting Crown

Praise You in the Storm

I was sure by now
God you would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as You mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can’t find You

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

I chose this song to ENCOURAGE all of us that are going through "storms" right now...
whether it is the actual STORMS that are ripping across the USA
and worse in other parts of the world or STORMS that we encounter in our daily lives or in our spiritual lives!

I wanted to share the one from Vicky Beeching, since it's on my WORSHIP TOGETHER CD
but I guess God wanted me to share the one from Casting Crown, so that I remember to PRAISE HIM!
I'm standing in prayer with many, who are facing "storms" (see previous post) but I know that were it not for the AWESOME and aMAZING Grace of GOD, I could have been traveling wearily, crossing through the midwest states that have once more been down trodden with enormous "storms" with tornado destruction surpassing previous records...alone in my van with my 3 little dogs, as I do each year around this time. I had hopes to be home for a special surprise for graduation and then stay through the Annual Mission Yard Sale at my home church, and miss out on this horrendous heat! But with the high cost of gas and unexpected van repairs I needed, I waited and didn't leave as planned! A bit disappointed...yeah! But...safe!

And I figured it out that I would have hit one of the states and even the town that was hit by a tornado on that exact day. It is said that global warming is causing stronger storms.
But we serve a Mighty God, who watches out for us, even through the STORMS!

PSALM 107:28-30

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
and he brought them out of their distress.
Psa 107:29
He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea were hushed.
Psa 107:30
They were glad when it grew calm,
and He guided them to their desired haven...

PSALM 21 /Salmo 21(Spanish)
Psa 21:1 El rey se alegra en tu poder, oh Jehová; Y en tu salvación, ¡cómo se goza!
Psa 21:2 Le has concedido el deseo de su corazón, Y no le negaste la petición de sus labios. Selah

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

O Lord, the king rejoices in your strength. How great is his joy in the victories you give! Psa 21:2 You have granted him the desire of his heart and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah Psa 21:3 You welcomed him with rich blessings and placed a crown of pure gold on his head. Psa 21:4 He asked you for life, and you gave it to him— length of days, for ever and ever. Psa 21:5 Through the victories you gave, his glory is great; you have bestowed on him splendor and majesty. Psa 21:6 Surely you have granted him eternal blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence. Psa 21:7 For the king trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken. Psa 21:8 Your hand will lay hold on all your enemies; your right hand will seize your foes. Psa 21:9 At the time of your appearing you will make them like a fiery furnace. In his wrath the Lord will swallow them up, and his fire will consume them. Psa 21:10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from mankind. Psa 21:11 Though they plot evil against you and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed; Psa 21:12 for you will make them turn their backs when you aim at them with drawn bow. Psa 21:13

Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength; we will sing and praise your might:
(Words and music by Jamie Owens-Collins(1981)

In heavenly armor we'll enter the land; The battle belongs to the Lord; No weapon that's fashioned against us shall stand; The battle belongs to the Lord; We sing glory and honor, Power and strength to the Lord (repeat). The power of darkness comes in like a flood; The battle belongs to the Lord; He's raised up a standard, the power of His blood; The battle belongs to the Lord; When your enemy presses in hard do not fear; The battle belongs to the Lord; Take courage my friend, your redemption is near ...
The battle belongs to the Lord

This is for all those in 1 Peter 3 Living Group and your prayer requests!

I've posted my prayer and this song to accompany Lynn's
over at Spiritually Unequal Marriages
(SUM)(Click here)

IF you are feeling weary, defeated, overwhemed, in a battle...you must go visit Lynn's post
and DECLARE along with her!!!

and then read my following continuation

"For our struggle is not against enemies of flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." Eph.6:12 "For we wanted to come to you--certainly I, Paul, did, again and again--but Satan stopped us." (1 Thess 2:18) EVIL & Satan...we rebuke you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, who defeated you long ago and the victory is ours. Though we may falter, stumble, grow weary, feel defeated and oppressed, wonder why or where is God in this,...WE BELIEVE and STAND on HIS WORD and HIS RETURN for us, James believed it! - (James 4:7) - Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Peter believed it! - (Acts 5:3) - Then Peter said, "Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land. (1 Peter 5:8,9) - Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. John believed it! -(Rev. 13:7) - He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. and even JESUS knew...and Jesus believed it! - (Mt 6:13) - And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (John 17:15) - My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect the from the evil one.

And I stand, with my sister, Lynn, who served you your notice on behalf of 1 Peter 3 Living group...each and everyone...and though you may think you have us cornered, you will not be given any more territory to rob, steal or destroy in our lives, our loved ones life or family and friend's lives. Since we believe God's WORD is TRUE & infallible, WE will take the call to spiritual warfare seriously. "For OUR God has not given us a spirit of FEAR, but a spirit of power and love and a sound mind..." "when we are weak, HE is strong."

Our sister Dionice gave us verses of HOPE and we claim and stand in the hope of Christ Jesus on those verses. We are not defeated!"No weapon that is formed against shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against us in judgement IS condemned. This is our heritage as servants of the Lord, and we are righteous in the Lord." Isaiah 54:17

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the promises of Your Word and though my spirit is heavy, I will claim and stand on these promises. I thank You that the gates of hell can no longer prevail against us, Your Church.(Matt.16:18) I thank you for the equipment and weapons You have given to us (Eph.6) to fight against the enemy of our souls! I thank you for the armor of God and the sword of the Spirit, Your Word that will pierce THIS DARKNESS that is surrounding and overwhelming us.

Lord, You said in Your Word that You have given us, Your children, all authority over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us(Luke 10:19)well, we feel very hurt and devastated by circumstances that seem to be bombarding us. You also told us if we would SUBMIT to you, resist the devil that he would flee. So we submit, we resist and we stand together in arms telling the enemy to leave because no enemy can defeat us and nothing will be able to separate us from Your love and saving grace and power. teach us to SUBMIT...show us how to resist...and help us as we lean on YOU for the strength in this battle to defeat the enemy.(Romans 8:39)

Therefore, I resist you satan and all the evil in the name of Jesus and I command you to stop interfering in our lives. You have no right to touch us for we are children of the King! WE will live like children of the King and claim all that is rightfully OURS!!!

Thank You, Lord that You do not have to save us with sword and spear (1 Samuel 17:47) the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty to the tearing down of satanic strongholds (2Cor. 10:4) Help us to remember who YOU are and what YOU have done for us..that You are fighting for us, that all power in heaven and earth are YOURS, and that YOU will deliver us from the influence of the enemy. (Ps.40:13). Help us to remember that the battle really is YOURS, not ours and that if WE will stand on Your Word, in Your Name, by the power of the Holy Spirit(inhale - breathe)Satan MUST FLEE!(2Chr.20:15) Reveal to US OUR need to call upon YOU in the day of trouble for You will deliver US and we will be able to glorify YOU(Ps.50:15) Lord, You are OUR defense.(Ps.89:18) You are the ROCK of our Refuge. (Ps. 94:22)Help us find shelter in the blessed promises and provisions of Your Word. Father, let us wage a good warfare, hold on to Our Faith in YOU and a good conscience(1Tim.1:18,19) Fill us overflowingly with Your Holy Spirit, so that we will walk triumphantly in Your Spirit, walk in Victory instead of defeat, walk in faith instead of disbelief, unbelief, or any doubt; walk in strength instead of our human fraility and weakness; putting and seeking YOU first, wearing Your full armor each day into the battlefield called life, capturing the present moment, which is a precious gift from YOU not to be wasted in defeat...let us LIVE this moment to the fullest! (Phil.3:13,14) Help us to forget those things which are behind, and reach forth unto those things which lie before us...may we PRESS toward the MARK, for the prize of the high calling of God, in Christ Jesus!

Holy Spirit, bring FRUITFULNESS in our lives so that we may walk more easily in love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self control. Guide our inner lives to walk in blessedness, confidence, hope, humility, integrity, praise, trust, in the Word of God and in the Will of God. So that we would glorify the Lord, know Him better, rejoice in Him, worship Him as we learn to pray and seek Him first from sun up to sun down and as He awakens us in the still of the night just to get our attention, may we abide, be still and KNOW that HE is GOD...our Heavenly Father will not abandon us in our need...and we THANK HIM for JESUS, who shows us the WAY, the TRUTH and THE LIGHT to walk out of this darkness and BE FREE in the One who set us free. We bow in humble gratitude and praise RENEW in us a clean heart and guide us through these difficulties, as we take a stand..PROTECT us with a hedge of protection that will keep us from all harm! In Jesus Name, I pray...Amen

Today is Thankful Thursday!

What are you thankful for today? Please visit Sting My Heart for other thankful hearts and join us in THANKING the LORD in all things!

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
since as members of one body you were called to peace And be thankful." NIV Col. 3:15

"Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way." Colossians 3:15-17 The Message

This is for ALL of YOU!
I am so thankful!
.......for your encouraging words, for your friendship, for your wisdom, for your courage, for your inspiration, for your words of God's Love and aMazing Grace...
in the absence of my home church body
of fellow believers in MN

I have found YOU!

Fellowship and worship here in Mexico is wonderful!
but it's just not the same as being surrounded by
your CHURCH family.

God's Presence is the same AWESOME, Glorious Wonder!

But I miss SISTERS...
and so that is WHY you have ALL
become that extended Body of Christ
to me!

I was looking for inspiration and I came across two lessons that go with my THANKFUL VERSE:
(1) An AWESOME object lesson "FOR ALL YOU GOOD EGGS..." from

Colossians 3:15b "And be thankful."

Object Needed: 2 eggs, marker, two clear bowls

NOTE FOR PREPARATION: At least a week ahead, draw a frown on an egg and let it set out to rotten. Draw a smile on an egg and keep it fresh.

Have you heard the expression ‘S/He’s a good egg"? It means that a person is an overall good person and tries to do what is right. Here are two eggs.

Can you tell which is the ‘good egg’ and which is the ‘bad egg’?

One egg is thankful and the other egg is not. This unhappy frowning egg never wanted to share his carton with any other eggs. S/He wanted the carton all from her/himself. S/He was grumpy and unthankful even for her/his space in the carton.

The good egg is always thankful. S/He thinks it is great to be in a carton full of other eggs so s/he can tell them all the things s/he is thankful for. God want you to be like the good egg not the bad egg. Do you know why? Well, there are two verses in the Bible that go together very well.

First, there is a simple command from God to us in Colossians 3:15. It simply says, "And be thankful." Well, you can’t get much clearer than that.

Jesus also said in Matthew 15:18, "The things that come out of the mouth come from the heart." When you use these two verses together you realize that when a person is thankful in their heart, then they will be thankful with their words.

The opposite is also true. (Crack open the rotten bad egg into a clear bowl. Have the children take a deep sniff.) The bad egg is bad all the way through. He was frowning on the outside and being unthankful because his heart, or spirit, is unthankful. There is nothing about this bad egg that is pleasant. We definitely would not want to use him in a cake. He would make the whole cake bad.

(Crack open the good egg into a clear bowl and show it to the children.)

This good egg is good all the way through. Of course, we already suspected that because he was a thankful egg. There are times during the year when we place special attention on being thankful, like during the Thanksgiving season. We should be thankful then. We must also be thankful all of the time.

Being thankful starts in our hearts, which is our spirits, before it takes place in our words.

Right now, close your eyes.

Imagine if you could see deep down inside to see what your spirit is like.

Do you see a good egg or a bad egg?

If you see a bad egg, then repent for your unthankfulness. Tell God that you want to be thankful. Now, think of something you are thankful for and thank God right now for it. (pause) You can open your eyes. Make it a habit that every morning when you first wake up to thank God for another great day. Make it a habit that every night before you go to sleep to thank God for His blessings He gave you that day. Remember -

"And be thankful."

The (2nd) is A LEGEND by Mildred M. North shared at Village Schools of the Bible. At the end of a study on "Why We Celebrate Thanksgiving?" Psalm 100 by Max Frasier Jr. I could not find it anywhere else so this is from their site.

"Two angels, so the legend ran, Came to earth as day began. One carried a basket deep and wide, The other a small one by his side.

Then spoke one of the Heavenly pair: "Oh, but this world is wondrous fair! If it were not for Heaven I'd be content to dwell on earth beneath the firmament. My basket is large, I'll soon begin to gather men's thanks, and pack them in."

Said the other, "I'll help you when I get done. I'm to gather their wants in this little one, And the sighs and murmurs of those who pout - But it's large enough, without a doubt. God's bounties are scattered on every side, You'll need your basket deep and wide."

Away they sped, and as darkness came, They met again, but not the same. Both were weary, both were sad; They'd found so little to make them glad.

Said he with the basket wide and deep, "My heart is heavy. It makes me weep. Look in my basket - you'll discover the thanksgivings scarcely the bottom cover!"

"While I, " said the other, "have made three trips with the wants and complaints from the people's lips!"Only a legend - yes - and yet - If the angels came, what would they get?

My heart, too, has been heavy, but...
I'm so thankful that you my sisters in the Lord, week after week, and more than likely, day after day, express your THANKS not just at THANKSGIVING but at least weekly here at TT, amidst all our other prayers of heaviness, we must always end with our THANKS! I'm sure that when you were "new "in the Lord or at praying, you were taught this acronym for praying taken from ACTS:
S.......SUPPLICATIONS for others and self last...for HE SUPPLIES ALL OUR NEEDS...
Of course, The "OUR FATHER" is the model prayer but turning scripture into your own prayer
will never fail. And being THANKFUL for what you have or are requesting as if it were done!!!
"...so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11
Lord, Thank you for the Body of Christ I have through this Thankful Thursday meme and blogging. Who would think? Yet I thank you for each one, who has made a ministry of their writing and touching lives for You, Almighty Lord and Savior. I thank you for each encouraging word and especially for those with whom I have had a "friendship" connection and they take the time to communicate Your love to me personally. God bless each one and the work that their hands and words are committed to...in Your Precious Name...Jesus...be with them, protect, encourage and inspire through Your Holy Spirit...We are the Hands, the Feet, the Heart, the Head, the Shoulders, the Arms of Christ Jesus but we must function together, for one depends or relies on the other.

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me: I lift my lamp beside the golden door. "

If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." II Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)

MEMORIAL DAY History (Click here for more) a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. There are many stories as to its actual beginnings, ...organized women's groups in the South were decorating graves before the end of the Civil War: a hymn published in 1867, "Kneel Where Our Loves are Sleeping" by Nella L. Sweet carried the dedication "To The Ladies of the South who are Decorating the Graves of the Confederate Dead"... and now we, as a FREE nation, have many more fallen from war after war, to give us

Day is done, gone the sun,

From the hills, from the lake,

From the skies.

All is well, safely rest,

God is nigh.

Go to sleep, peaceful sleep,May the soldier or sailor, God keep. On the land or the deep, Safe in sleep. Love, good night, Must thou go, When the day, And the night Need thee so?

All is well. Speedeth all To their rest. Fades the light; And afar Goeth day, And the stars Shineth bright, Fare thee well; Day has gone, Night is on.

Thanks and praise,

For our days,

'Neath the sun,

'Neath the stars,

'Neath the sky,

As we go,

This we know,

God is nigh.

The last line of the words given to TAPS says "GOD IS NIGH"...
what this means is that God is not far from...God is near
so while we mourn the loss of many,
while we look at the senseless loss of life in war,
We remember that this price is being paid for us to worship FREELY,
for us to live FREELY, for others to enjoy that same FREEDOM
we take for granted far too often.

Lord, we pray not just for our nation, but for the nations of the world to know You, to live at peace, to bring justice for so may injustices,

Psalm 72 A prayer for justice and righteousness says:

"Give the gift of wise rule to the king, O God, the gift of just rule to the crown prince. May he judge your people rightly, be honorable to your meek and lowly. Let the mountains give exuberant witness; shape the hills with the contours of right living. Please stand up for the poor, help the children of the needy, come down hard on the cruel tyrants. Outlast the sun, outlive the moon—age after age after age. Be rainfall on cut grass, earth-refreshing rain showers. Let righteousness burst into blossom and peace abound until the moon fades to nothing. Rule from sea to sea, from the River to the Rim. Foes will fall on their knees before God, his enemies lick the dust. Kings remote and legendary will pay homage, kings rich and resplendent will turn over their wealth. All kings will fall down and worship, and godless nations sign up to serve him, Because he rescues the poor at the first sign of need, the destitute who have run out of luck. He opens a place in his heart for the down-and-out, he restores the wretched of the earth. He frees them from tyranny and torture—when they bleed, he bleeds; when they die, he dies. And live! Oh, let him live! Deck him out in Sheba gold. Offer prayers unceasing to him, bless him from morning to night. Fields of golden grain in the land, cresting the mountains in wild exuberance, Cornucopias of praise, praises springing from the city like grass from the earth. May he never be forgotten, his fame shine on like sunshine. May all godless people enter his circle of blessing and bless the One who blessed them. Blessed God, Israel's God, the one and only wonder-working God! Blessed always his blazing glory! All earth brims with his glory. Yes and Yes and Yes.

John 8:31-36

If the Son Sets You Free ...

Then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. "If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you."
Surprised, they said, "But we're descendants of Abraham. We've never been slaves to anyone. How can you say, 'The truth will free you'?"

Jesus said, "I tell you most solemnly that anyone who chooses a life of sin is trapped in a deadend life and is, in fact, a slave. A slave is a transient, who can't come and go at will.

The Son, though, has an established position, the run of the house. So if the Son sets you free, you are free through and through. I know you are Abraham's descendants. But I also know that you are trying to kill me because my message hasn't yet penetrated your thick skulls. I'm talking about things I have seen while keeping company with the Father, and you just go on doing what you have heard from your father."

Lord, I pray for others that still have not received this message, for others that allow pride to get in the way. I ask forgiveness for each time pride has stood in the way of Your Way! I pray for genuine repentance of any rebellion. Help us be obedient instead. Bless us with the spirit of acceptance instead of rejection. Let Your Kingdom come and dwell within us. We pray for all the many families who suffer loss of loved ones this day! Protect all military in countries around the world. Be with each one and shine Your light into their darkness. Bring peace and freedom! Let slavery end...set the captives free...from countries to individuals, especially women & children being trafficked around the world and many deceived and brought into the USA. Save them & us
In Jesus Name. Amen.

People in other countries are suffering greatly as we enjoy FREEDOM and LIBERTY. Not one of us have chosen where we were born, live or die... please think of this when you judge others struggling for what we are blessed with in the United States of America.

God bless AMERICA!

A Friend of mine sent me a very special Dayspring Card , Master Peace Collection , with the Statue of Liberty. It begins with a tear running down her face...it ends with the JESUS in the clouds to her right...with the word LIBERTY...

What does LIBERTY mean to you?

SCENE 1:taken from drive between MN and Mexico, can you guess where?

What Song or Scripture comes to mind when you look at this Scene?
Think about it and come back and leave it in my comments.

This is suppose to be like a "meme" but I don't know how to do it? So I decided it can work like this! I have Mr. Linky, too and just not the know how or the code for a SUPER SUNDAY SCENE button...

Later today I'll post one from me...and any I receive
(but of course those will be in the comments).

Scene 2 (in case the above didn't inspire any song or scripture)

CrossDaily.com is a Christian Graphic site from Crosswalk(with Christian devotionals).

In the 60s, this folk song was better known and written by Pete Seeger originally.

I believe that this song would go with the combination of both photos.

Where have all the flowers gone long time passing
Where have all the flowers gone long time ago
Where have all the flowers gone young girls picked them everyone
When will they ever learn when will they ever learn
Where have all the young girls gone long time passing
Where have all the young girls gone long time ago
Where have all the young girls gone gone to young men everyone
When will they ever learn when will they ever learn
Where have all the young men gone long time passing
Where have all the young men gone long time ago
Where have all the young men gone gone for soldiers everyone
When will they ever learn when will they ever learn
[ ac.guitar ]
Where have all the soldiers gone long time passing
Where have all the soldiers gone long time ago
Where have all the soldiers gone gone to graveyards everyone
When will they ever learn when will they ever learn
Where have all the graveyards gone long time passing
Where have all the graveyards gone long time ago
Where have all the graveyards gone gone to flowers everyone
When will they ever learn when will they ever learn
Where have all the flowers gone...

I was thinking of different Bible verses either with (1)"daisy" flower or (2) mustard seed but I couldn't decide.

I learned however when Luke speaks of "lilies of the field", most people think of the Easter lily(white Madonna lily), when in fact, others say Jesus was referring to a wide variety of flowers that bloomed in abundance in Israel in the spring. These "lilies of the field"would have included anemones, daisies and poppies. So the Bible verse might have been:

(1) Luke 12:27 "Consider the (lilies)(daisies) flowers how they grow: they toil not, they spin not, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."

...or because there are so many flowers in this field spread out, I was thinking of the mustard seed, being that they are yellow, also...because mustard seeds germinate quickly. From a tiny seed can seed, a ten foot plant could grow, strong enough for a small bird to perch upon. This would point us to:

(2) Matthew 13:31, 32 "...the kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed..."

Personally, the mustard seed scripture would win for me because I recently told my two Mexican students (in the center) from YWAM/JUCUM that if they were to raise the huge amount of money for their outreach to Indonesia in less than the two weeks they had before they left...my "little mustard seed" of faith would be increased and grow greatly, 'cause although I had read about this happening, I had never personally witnessed a miracle of that magnitude... the amount was enough for them to buy a house here in Mexico... but they did it (God provided) Jehovah Jireh is awesome and can exceed our expectations!!!

YWAM students DTS

So they are in Indonesia with the group and I'm here praising the Lord and continuing to pray for the outreach, expecting aMazing results from seeds being planted!!!

Steven Curtis Chapman & Maria Sue:His little Cinderella

"May The LORD bless you and keep you;
May the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
May the LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. Num 6:24-26
May the Holy Spirit bring You much comfort and strength in the days ahead!

Please go to this site and leave your condolences and prayers for them: http://chapmanchannel.typepad.com/inmemoryofmaria/ [personal words below are from this] In lieu of flowers, the Chapmans request any gifts be directed to Shaohannah’s Hope.

Maria Sue Chapman (2003-2008)

"Maria Sue Chapman, adopted and youngest daughter to Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman, was killed Wednesday night in a tragic accident in the family driveway on Wednesday evening. She was LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital but for only reasons God can explain she went home to Him... not to Franklin as we all so desperately wanted.

Your prayers are needed for all in the Chapman family. This is a family who has so generously loved and given to so many. Just hours before this close knit family was celebrating the engagement of the oldest daughter Emily Chapman, and were just hours away from a graduation party marking Caleb Chapman's completion of high school. Now, they are preparing to bury a child who blew out 5 candles on a birthday cake less than 10 days ago. These words are unthinkable to type. And yet we trust in a God who was not surprised by this and because of Jesus I am certain through faith in Him we will see Maria again. "- Jim Houser (Manager)

She spins and she sways
To whatever song plays
Without a care in the world
And I'm sitting here wearing
The weight of the world on my shoulders

It's been a long day
And there's still work to do
She's pulling at me
Saying "Dad, I need you

There's a ball at the castle
And I've been invited
And I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone...

She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I approve of the dress
She says, "Dad, the prom is just one week away
And I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

She will be gone

Well, she came home today with a ring on her hand
Just glowing and telling us all they had planned
She says, "Dad, the wedding's still six months away
But I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight

Meet Maria

"For those who never had the chance to meet this special little girl, we invite you to get a glimpse through this "goofy" blog video shot with her Daddy just two months ago. It's a wonderful recording to help us remember Maria. We miss you so badly already. We'll see you soon Maria."

"I can see the tears filling Your eyes; And I know where they're coming from; They're coming from a heart that's broken in two; By what you don't see; The person in the mirror; Doesn't look like the magazine; Oh, but when I look at you it's clear to me that...

I can see the fingerprints of God; When I look at you, I can see the fingerprints of God; And I know it's true You're a masterpiece; That all creation quietly applauds;
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

Never has there been and never again Will there be another you; Fashioned by God's hand; And perfectly planned; To be just who you are; And what He's been creating, Since the first beat of your heart; Is a living breathing priceless work of art and...

Just look at you; You're a wonder in the making; Oh, and God's not through, no In fact, He's just getting started and…

I'm NOT SURE when or why Steven Curtis Chapman wrote these songs, but the words seem to be written for such a moment as this! This is such a wonderful family and such a terrible tragedy!

I'm posting these songs early for THEN SINGS MY SOUL SATURDAY because I just felt so moved to offer my prayer and condolences to the CHAPMANS on this Memorial Weekend and allow Steve's own composition of great music that I've enjoyed for years, minister to his own.

Maria Sue Chapman's Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 24th, 2008
Her visitation is Friday.
May she rest in peace and the Lord's perpetual light shine upon her as
He holds her in His arms with all His angels dancing with CINDERELLA

" Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. "2 Cor.1:3-4

This week, our host, over at Sting My Heart has chosen TIME.

Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way. "
Colossians 3:15-17 (Message)

Memorial Weekend - time to remember those no longer with us!
Originally it was meant to commemorate U.S. men and women, who have died in military service for their country! Many people have lost track of observing this day for what it was meant.

My family made a traditional observation of this day by visiting the cemeteries where our family's loved ones were buried. I can recall visiting at least 3 different ones but the main one was at RESURRECTION in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. There are so many family members there: aunts, uncles, grandma, cousin, great aunt & uncle, and since 1986, my mother, then my brother(1990) and my father(1998). There is a lot of history in those lives and many memories. The place that is remaining there is probably for me! My older sister and brother must have their own. I remember bringing flowers, cleaning off the memorial stones, picking weeds and the American flags, here and there...honoring our military...honoring my dad, who was a World War II paratrooper in the 101st Airborne and Prisoner of War! What stories he had to tell!!! And he did and I listened and so did others, over and over again as they visited with us in our home. There was no one like my mom, who put together the best family get-togethers, with all the best fixings and super hospitality for every occasion like Memorial Day Picnics and Receptions for Graduations that were second only to Christmas with all the trimmings and Santa(my dad)!

My Childhood Home of many Memories on Margaret Street in St. Paul, Minnesota

Now I share memories with my cousin's families, when I'm home in Minnesota! They always have made me feel "at home" and very blessed to share in their family times. They make a special point of getting together with me and sharing everything. They bless me in so many ways! That is why it is so special, enjoyable and easy for me to spend time doing my Tribute to Twins because I can recall the special TIMES with them:

Jack & Jan, Pam & Bill, Heather, Luke, Katie, Jolene, Jack & Sharon, Kim & Steve, Reid, Carrie & Dale, Rachel, Ross, Grant & Jill and now there are more:
Mataya, Mathias, Mia, Kyah, Victor & Omar. (not pictured)(photo from 1996).
Before I left for Mexico, we all got together and they prayed for me. Each time, I come home, they bless me so I can bless others. TIME with them is INVALUABLE and I am so THANKFUL for their FAMILIES! I can never THANK them enough!

May You take each one into Your Hand, guide their lives, direct their paths, enrich their TIME with each other but mostly with YOU!

May You bless and fill their lives with more of YOU, more of Your Love, more of Your Power, more of Your Grace, more Wisdom and Prosperity, more Protection and Provision for Good health and a closer walk with YOU,

Thank You for the good TIMES we have shared & how they bless my life!

Thank You for them & Your salvation for each one!

Take hold of their hearts, fill their minds, and bless their souls daily with a special touch of YOU!

God has richly blessed me with Good People who Care and Share Christ's Love!

I am so thankful for the new family members I have met and spend time with each week through the BLOGGING world and BLOG MEMES
