"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

Not being able to choose, I listed my top three that ministered to me this week,
(that's what happens when you lay in bed besides praying, reading and bathroom trips)

so please feel free to CHOOSE and enjoy:

[When I posted my YouTubes as usual they were white on my screen
so I've included the YouTube URL to go see correctly if this problem persists still
:(sorry I don't know what else I can do]
Left My Fear
By The Side Of The Road
Hear You Speak
won't Let Go
Fall To My Knees
As I Lift My Hands To Pray
got Every Reason
To Be Here Again
Father's Love That Draws Me In
and All My Eyes Wanna See Is A Glimpse Of You
all I Need Is You...All I Need Is You
is You Lord
one More Day
And It's Not The Same
your Spirit Calls My Heart To Sing
drawn To The Voice Of My Saviour
Once Again Where Would
where Would My Soul Be Without Your Son
gave His Life To Save The Earth
rest In The Thought That You're Watching Over Me
all I Need Is You...All I Need Is You Lord...Is You Lord
all I Need Is You...All I Need Is You
you Hold The Universe
you Hold Everyone On Earth
you Hold The Universe
you Hold...You Hold...

[lyrics are below for the Spanish version]

Falling on my knees in worship Giving all I am to seek Your face Lord
all I am is is Yours
My whole life I place in Your hands God of mercy Humbled I bow down
In your presence at Your throne
I called-You answered
And You came to my rescue and I wanna be where You are
In my life be lifted high
In our world be lifted high
In our love be lifted high

(3) DESDE MI INTERIOR/ From the Inside Out

Mil veces Te fallé, mas Tú fuiste fiel,
Tu gracia me levantó, me basta Tu amor,

Justicia y amor me abrazan, Señor

Clamé, me oíste, me viniste a rescatar, Contigo quiero estar.
oh oh oh Mi vida pongo en tus manos, Dios de gracia, vengo en humildad,
En Tu presencia quiero estar.
Clamé, me oíste, me viniste a rescatar, Contigo quiero estar.
oh oh oh Clamé, me oíste, me viniste a rescatar, Contigo quiero estar. oh oh oh

These songs from Hillsong United have ministered to me a great deal this past week and before when I was able to use "He Came to My Rescue" & "From the Inside Out" in Spanish class with my YWAM students. Their worship included this song and I felt certain that if they heard this in Spanish, since they already knew it in English, it would be easier to learn. I am convinced that you can learn languages more easily through music if it is well enunciated or pronounced clearly.

In any language, Our Lord is more than ready to come to our rescue, if we just call out His Name. I find that the more I seek Him, the more I want to worship Him and be in His Presence. When you are sick or in difficult times, I know that if you choose to come to Him in humility asking for His help, He will not deny rescuing You. He is able as you are willing to lift Him high

Please join many others in PRAISE & WORSHIP

I pray
ministered to the depths of your spirit and lifted you!

...¡Muchísimas Gracias!...

THANK YOU SO MUCH to my sweet friends:
Tracy from My Cup Runneth Over and Cheryl from Hope for Each Day

for a DOUBLE portion Blessing now TRIPLE

This precious award blessed me in the beginning of this week by Tracy then Cheryl, but PASSING IT ON blesses me even more...

and at the end of the week, "me picó" again,
one of my recipients passed it back

PAULETTE from Our Summer Blessing

2 Kings2:9b...."Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit," Elisha replied.

I'm just so excited, encouraged, humbled, honored...dancing on Cloud Seven... This is my very first award since high school and that was so long ago, I wasn't quite sure how to do this! So forgive me for my overenthusiasm and researching from the origin of the award, which comes from Uruguay, and was intended for artesans in the beginnings, from a humble woman named Eseya, Muñecas con Historia-Dolls with History to recent recipients. It was so interesting!

I have been humbly honored by my two sweetest sisters in the Lord, though we've never met. Tracy surprised me first!

Let me try to explain:

[Since I failed to read my emails or comments this a.m., I did not even know that I was a recipient but had read that she had been given this award by Laurie Ann so I went to leave her a comment to congratulate her.

And lo and behold, Cheryl's name (among other friends) was there. I did not even notice that I was in the second bunch because I had to run over to Cheryl's blog. However, she did not have it posted so I didn't want to give away the surprise. Little did I know 'til I, too had been given this until I headed back to read more of Tracy's and finally leave my comment. My comment says it all! I was totally surprised. It's a gift that is meant to keep on GIVING ENCOURAGEMENT!]

Tracy @My Cup Runneth Over, says Blessings overflow and they surely do from this precious heart for the Lord. I have been so uplifted and encouraged by her writings and even sweet comments to me. You must go over to My Cup Runneth Over and read A Memorable Glimpse, one of my recent favorites after the 4th of July weekend. Her words to her profile alone speak volumes as to the kind of beautiful woman she is! Her faithful caring for others is exemplified in her Thankful Thursdays and most recently her prayers being answered for Millie. She is one very special lady and fellow blogger! Her Bible verse Romans 15:13 "I pray that God, the source of Tracy's hope, will fill you [and flow back to Tracy]completely with joy and peace because Tracy trusts in Him. Then Tracy will continue to overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit!" Your words encourage me to seek Him more and share His Hope.

Which brings me to the second blessing of my day, from Hope for Each Day, my sweet friend and sister in the Lord, Cheryl (and Ripley)! As I began to think of what to say about Cheryl, my eyes filled with tears. This woman of faith, has such a passion and compassionate heart, which she shows me each time she visits or I read her blog and seems to be so full of Hope for Each Day that she extends to me through her words. But more importantly, it's the way she is faithful and loving to her own sister, Jan and carries her burdens to the throne of grace as she gives us the privilege to carry and pray with her. Cheryl never fails to take the time for others. I encourage you to take or make the time to join her in prayer, visit her Hope for Each Day, where she does exactly what it says on the top takes Time for Reflection, Time to Hope, Time to Give Praise & A Time to Live. She encourages me and shares the same great loves in music. Cheryl's words are inspiring and uplifting, no matter how heavy the burden, she graciously shows HOPE for Each Day. Cheryl truly is a blessing for anyone needing a place of real hope and friendship!

Both of these women do a Word-Filled Wednesday and their graphics and words will truly bless you! So I guess filling up on Wednesday with the Word brings you the blessings!

[this later insert in green is for the return of this award] I was so delighted to visit all new recipients of this award and be introduced to new blogs that are creative and contributing. God's Word certainly is alive and blessing others. I see this award as a means to ENCOURAGE others.

My precious PAULETTE chose 4 and then me again. I was going to just thank her and add her name. But I would like to share the JOY of giving once more.

Paulette's SUMMER BLESSING is a ministry that she becomes totally immersed in during the summer. Paulette has a missionary heart and reaches people near her home that she looks for their return and growth each summer. Her photos of these blessings speak of her loving heart. But Paulette serves in many capacities and uses her gifts to continue each summer something special that she started years ago but was in her heart since she served in Oaxaca, Mexico.

She is a yard nanny, a"gardener" at heart [On the Heart -her personal blog] and tends to planting, seeding and pruning to bring forth new life, new growth in nature but also in the lives she touches. Paulette volunteers in her community with Pregnancy Crisis Center and a personal ministry to bring a dear woman, her gramma each week without fail to enjoy the friendship of other Christian senior citizen women. Please pray for Paulette and her gramma, for a current injustice that has separated them! Paulette treasures and loves her gramma beyond words and needs to be reunited. Please visit her blog and offer some encouragement. Paulette is humble, creative and has a HEART for God's children: young and old. Paulette is a true servant of the Lord!

I plan on selecting 5 more blogs to ENCOURAGE from Paulette returning it to me. Since I have this opportunity at my blog doorstep once more to bless others, I would like to encourage more. I prayed much about this. I have learned a great deal through being a recipient of an award.

I knew from the outset "It" has nothing to do with me...but how the LORD moves through me. It is my gift to be an encourager, it is the core of my Mission statement. When God pours into me, I know that HE does so for HIS Purpose. I have found in any ministry that I have had the privilege to be part of that as I pour out, God will pour back in to fill me up with more of HIM. I have no pride in this because I know that what flows to me from the LORD is what I try to pass on. Some may choose or not be able to pass it on...so it's ok for me to pass on more. I need to pass it on freely though and allow God to use it for His glory as HE and others may choose.

It is a circle that continues to expand. A circle has no end. I would love for each of you that visit here to end up as a recipient. For me, each of you are recipients, when I receive this it was because of you and your visits that I am honored. My intention is not to offend anyone or hurt feelings, just to pass it on. Hold on because I'm hoping it may make its way

Now comes the very difficult part of selecting 5 (but I'm so fortunate, I have a double portion-10) but it still was hard because I not only wanted to meet the criteria as well as honor the many "blog friends" that bless me each week. I also did not want to duplicate. Some of my favorites were all ready given the award from these two and so I was seeking new "blogs". I have a list of over 100 that I'm using in an upcoming blog, but sorry all you 100 Blogs of Merit, they only gave me 2 X 5 =10....but good thing cuz I had the hardest time choosing!!!

NOW I have 5 more added below which will be new blogs.

As a recipient of these awards, I have been asked to share each award with five blogs that bless me. I have chosen:

From Tracy's Arte y Pico Award:

(1) Paulette [Our Summer Blessings]

(2) Lynn/Dineen [Spiritually Unequal Marriage]

(3) Carol [Sheep to the Right]

(4) Cristine [Journeying Forward]

(5) Sheila -a Woman Found , she has 5 blogs, the one I want to acknowledge is [Hebrews Thirteen Three]but you have to go to[Meditations and Confessions of a Homemaker]

Then from Cherly's bestowing me with the Arte y Pico Award

(1) Kimberly-kmom3 [A Planting of the Lord]

(2) Elaine [Peace for the Journey]

(3) Melinda [Blessed Beginnings] but better known to us as earthmommy[At Shore's End]

(4) SharonB [Quiet Reflections]

(5) Leigh Ann "Momma Roar"for[Lifting Hands] [Learning to Live and Living to Learn] +more

And NOW from Paulette's SUMMER BLESSINGS...and sharing "Arte y Pico Award" again:

(1) Angela [Becoming Me]

(2) Sharon [A Hoosier Family]

(3) Sherry [The Journey Back] and DAISY

(4) Jenifer [By His Grace]

(5) YWAMers: Ashley [Ashley Elizabeth Maui & Beyond] Hannah [Abandoned by Him]since one of these may be inactive for the moment, I have chosen them both.

Recent update: both are active (but its too late, I already passed it on to them both). I had others who did not pass it on, so there should be no problem with this. Thank you for understanding! YWAM is very much a part of my mission life and these young people should be blessed and encouraged much!

Each of these women of faith have blessed a different part of my life and touch me beyond words along with Susan [Forever His] and Kim [Seasons of My Heart]who were given this award before I did and the many others of my new extended family in cyberworld that change the ordinary into extraordinary and fill me with the truth and the light of God's Word, inspiring me to be all that I can be and do all that HE enables me to do! I award this to ALL of you who pass my way!

These women, who are unknown to me, are being the body of Christ to me and one day, we will all be gathered in His Throne Room to give Him the glory and we shall meet face to face by HIS Grace! They bring delight to the depths of my soul and I thank God for each of you, who are on this life journey and purpose for Christ.

Now go forth and share the love!

The official instructions follow:

[this is an oldie but still a goodie]

It has been one of those weeks, a complete circle...
I have expanded one circle to a new circle
and on it goes & grows
And so in honor of Then Sings My Soul Saturday

I'd like to dedicate this song
to a select few and ALL of you:

and of course, Tracy, who pointed me in the direction of

[enjoy more of Point of Grace here or here]

You lift me, pray for me and encourage me
to get back on track...

John 17:20-23
Jesus prayer for ALL Believers
20"My prayer is not for them alone.
I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,
21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent Me.
22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one:
23 I in them and you in Me. May they be brought to complete UNITY to let the world know that you sent Me and have loved them even as you have loved Me. "

Words & Music by Douglas McKelvey & Steve Siler

We were made to love and be loved

But the price this world demands will cost you far too much

I spent so many years just trying to fit in

Now I've found a place in this circle of friends

In a circle of friends we have one Father

In a circle of friends we share this prayer

That every orphaned soul will know

And all will enter in

To the shelter of this circle of friends

If you weep, I will weep with you

If you sing for joy the rest of us will lift our voices too

But no matter what you feel inside there's no need to pretend

That's the way it is in this circle of friends

In a circle of friends

We have one Father

In a circle of friends we share this prayer

That we'll gather together no matter how the highway bends

I will not lose this circle of friends

Among the nations, tribes and tongues we have sisters and brothers

And when we meet in heaven we will recognize each other

With joy so deep and love so sweet

Oh we'll celebrate these friends

And a life that never ends

In a prayer

That will not be long before

All will enter in

To the shelter of this circle of friends

That it will not be long before

All will enter in to the shelter of this circle of friends

God has given us and ordained FRIENDSHIPS as one of HIS most precious gifts.

Friends make us feel a part of something special, loved and accepted...I thank God, though I have never met face to face these friends above or you, as my friend...that because of our ONENESS in Christ...God has surrounded me, in a place away from my friends back home, with a new CIRCLE of FRIENDS through the internet...and it just keeps growing bigger...I pray.

With hearts that are seeking God and good communication, we can maintain a healthy relationship. I want to glorify God in my relationship with others. It's a give and take, working through misunderstandings and difficulties honestly with much prayer, many tears at times and perhaps hurt feelings, though this is never our intent. God keeps a circle of friendship together, even though distance or time may separate it momentarily or for years...God puts it back together like there was never any time or space between real friends. Friends are extended family and we, as believers are part of one big family...a circle of friends.

Thank God that nothing or no one can separate us from the Father's Love and also love in the Circle of Friends in the body of believers. God desires UNITY not division, which comes from strife, hurt feelings, unresolved conflicts, miscommunicated ideas...wanting our own way, selfish desires...etc. We must value OUR UNITY as fellow believers as ONE BODY under CHRIST so that others will see the testimony of our love and will come to know the depth of God's love.

This week, in particular, I have felt a struggle...a battle between my will and God's way. I struggle with wanting things my way. But I am convinced that if I set my heart on UNITY, God will bless my effort to see others ENCOURAGED and continue a blessing on this new

Lord Jesus, Forgive me for trying to get in the way: Your will not mine. Take away any selfishness, hinderances or wrong feelings not of you that threaten to damage my relationships with other believers. Help me to look to a higher cause than my own. Forgive me for my behavior or attitude that may take away my testimony of You in my life. Teach me to be longsuffering when I find difficulty in getting along with others or others free choices. I pray that my life will be a living testimony to ALL of Your love. Thank You for each of my friends that pray for me. Bless each and every person who reads these words. May they minister to their spirit and may a spirit of friendship:oneness in You unite us! In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Ponder this week's Cafe Chat Topic:
(a little late- I meant it for Monday even though it's for last Saturday?)
(God gave me GRACE for the week)

Café Chat July 12th
What is one woman from the Bible that you can relate to, and explain why you relate to her?

Cafe Chat put out this question on July 12th, and I read the others and related to their choice, thinking...yeah...then decided I must PONDER some more and it's now been 5 days...and I'm back to my very first thought...the women or in this particular case WOMAN without a name...(the others without names I relate too also) but when this Daily Manna came today...it was my final confirmation...

THE WOMAN who had an issue(some versions read)...but this version says bleeding
yet a woman without a name
but important enough to make her place in Jesus' story!
Thursday, July 17, 2008 DAILY MANNA
Luke 8:43-48
As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. 'Who touched me?' Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, 'Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.' But Jesus said, 'Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.' Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.' NIV
This was shared with me by Sharon
A Hoosier Family
who directed me to WE BELIEVE ART-Four Defining Truths of the Assemblies of God
There are so many well known Biblical women: Ruth, Mary, Martha, Mary Magdalene, Naomi, Hannah, Ester, Rachel, Eve, Susana, Tabitha, Sarah, Anna, etc. an endless list of women of notoriety! I could have chosen the childless ones since I have adopted and that would have been the easiest choice... so why the woman without a name that reached out just to touch Jesus!
I do not have a bleeding disease... so that's not it... but I do need HIS HEALING!
I do not have that great of faith... though you may think so, by what I do or say... but my faith grows and is deepened daily as I minister and Jesus pours back in...to fill me up and anoints me afresh
I hardly ever go unnoticed even where I'm unknown...here in Mexico, especially a white, blond (in the past) blue eyed woman definitely sticks out...
I do have a name... so I am known... sometimes by different names... sometimes just "teacher"
But like this woman, that needs the TOUCH of Jesus, that desires just to REACH His hem, that struggles for many years, that trembles as His feet and like another woman I relate to, feels worthy only to wipe His feet with her hair and tears, I have this SHAME factor...I have this HEALING need, I have this FAITH to see His MIRACLES, because I am grieved and fully aware
unworthy of HIS LOVE or MERCY
BY HIS GRACE I am saved
HE allows me in HIS PRESENCE
Wipes away my tears
Restores the years
Erases all fears
Then gives me a name:
Precious One...Pearl
[the meaning of my real name]
and HE starts the work in me, to culture me
refine me, polish me
to give me VALUE as His Child
sending me on my way
"Thy faith has saved you"
Healed me
"Go in peace"
or to another nameless woman
"go and sin no more"
He always sends the women:
I am sent, I am chosen,
I am accepted.
I am HIS
HE is Mine!
That's Divine!

The years seem so long that I have been following and seeking the Lord's healing,
but sometimes healing is NOT instant
HEALING is a process!
and after the Healing comes Recovery
~step by step~
day by day
layer by layer
but before the HEALING comes Forgiveness
of self, of others, from God
through His BELOVED SON

I've seen this so many times recently on Then Sings My Soul Saturday-most recently with Deborah @ Boutcrazy with a Live performance of Nicole Mullen. But DANCE ministers to me, and I love to DANCE before HIM and do choreography for young women to dance before HIM, but in my home...I delight and heal through DANCING before HIM and reaching to TOUCH the hem for just -

Notice that I never said what I need healing from...it's just an "issue"...it doesn't matter, there is healing in that ONE TOUCH!
What are you struggling with? Do you need healing? Do you have faith for the healing? Do you struggle with believing for His healing? Do you feel unworthy? Do you have shame? Have you given up hope to see your own healing? Are you on the road of recovery? Are you hurting? How long can you go on carrying this load?

Give it to HIM, He's carried the Cross for YOU!
He wants YOU restored, He wants YOU saved!
He cares for you and me

MISSION of Mazes, Messes, Miracles...aMazing Grace

COME and JOIN THE BLOG TOUR...see other's BLOG MISSION by visiting
Becoming Me

I chose this Bible verse to be the Mission of my writing a blog:

Isaiah 61

The Year of the LORD's Favor

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of His splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
5 Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
And you will be called priests of the LORD, you will be named ministers of our God.
You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast.
7 Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land,
and everlasting joy will be theirs.
8 "For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity. In my faithfulness I will reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples.
All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed."
10 I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow,
so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.

You may have read Isaiah 61 thinking, how is she planning to do this as her
Blog Mission???

I am hoping that by sharing my life journey, the MAZES I have wandered...the MESSES that I have made or been through...would result in MIRACLES of Christ working in and through me to whomever would pass this way or whichever way I may be led to through this blog world. I would like to share an encouraging WORD along the way to touch others for Christ with the love and compassion that HE shows me daily and HIS GOOD NEWS: if HE can do this for me, HE can do this for YOU! There is HOPE in CHRIST JESUS through HIS aMAZING GRACE!

My original idea was to take one facet of my life journey and reach people going through similar circumstances but I decided that it was more important to share the composite of me, and my many facets just as they honestly are...day by day...experience of the past, present and future,
in hopes that I may do exactly what Isaiah 61 encourages me to BE and DO! For I have been in many of the situations of this chapter...and believe that His aMazing Grace has seen me through them and HE has used many people along my life journey to DO as Isaiah 61 says.

Allow me the humble honor to meet you along the WAY and share what THE LORD is doing for you & for me as we learn from each other! In this way, we will bless each other's life and encourage each other in Christ Jesus through tears or laughter, through pain or gain, through prayer and study of His Word and His transforming power and grace! This is not for me but HIM! I will seek HIM and pray each step along my way of "blogging"!

I would like to use this as an EVANGELISM tool for assisting others but it seems that it is more a Christian fellowship place for me to be blessed by others, as I am away from my HOME Church...it serves to keep me in touch with believing Christian women advancing the kingdom of God through journaling and finding ways to lift and encourage one another along the way through their words, songs, studies, prayers, teachings, and Christian ideas.

It is a venture and adventure together!

The seeds planted along my journey in me and by me will grow a garden I pray and be a sweet fragrance to my Lord Jesus Christ for His Glory! I hope either my writings or comments will do
this for whoever may read Mazes, Messes, & Miracles...aMazing Grace!

I pray that I may bless you as OUR LORD blesses me thru my Mission as we accomplish Christ's Mission TOGETHER!

I'm not going back
I'm moving ahead
I'm here to declare

In You old things are made new
Surrender my life to Christ
I'm moving
moving forward

What a moment
You have brought me to
Such a freedom
I have found in You
What a Healer

You make all things new
Yeah Yeah Yeah

You have risen
With all power in Your Hands
You have given me
A second Chance
Hallelujah Hallelujah

Yeah Yeah Yeah
Yeah Yeah Yeah

You make all things new
You make all things new
I will follow You forward

ARE YOU MOVING FORWARD? standing still or perhaps going backwards?

Be sure to LISTEN TO THE WORDS of the message at the end for each of us

This song declaring where I'm headed is by Ricardo Sanchez from Free Chapel

in Atlanta, Georgia

Psalm 7:17 (The Message) 17 I'm thanking God, who makes things right. I'm singing the fame of heaven-high God. 1 Chronicles 16:8 (The Message) 8-19 Thank God! Call out his Name! Tell the whole world who He is and what He's done! Sing to Him! Play songs for Him! Broadcast all his wonders! Revel in His holy Name, God-seekers, be jubilant! Study God and His strength, seek His presence day and night; Remember all the wonders He performed, the miracles and judgments that came out of his mouth. Seed of Israel His servant! Children of Jacob, his first choice! He is God, our God; wherever you go you come on His judgments and decisions. He keeps His commitments across thousands of generations, the covenant he commanded, The same one He made with Abraham, the very one he swore to Isaac; He posted it in big block letters to Jacob, this eternal covenant with Israel: "I give you the land of Canaan, this is your inheritance; 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (The Message) 16-18Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time;

thank God no matter what happens.

This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.

Seek the Lord Sunday (Part Two)

Last week STLS topic was "Spiritual Gifts".
If you'd like to join us or learn more about Spiritual Gifts,
head on over to ...Call Her Blessed...(click here)
where you'll find excellent links and others who have written!
There's even 2 links to do a Spiritual Inventory to find out what may be your Spiritual gifts!
Here is an additional Spiritual Gifts Inventory of 60 ?s from Christian Network.

I mentioned last week that I was not going to teach on Spiritual Gifts, though I did give a list of Spiritual Gifts. I could not just leave it like that since we all come from different backgrounds and teachings. So I want to present a teaching on Spiritual Gifts to bring better understanding among us and a common point of reference to Spiritual Gifts.

Good news: each one of us have gifts!
From my understanding, there are 3 different categories of gifts:

(1)Manifestation Gifts: 1 Corinthians 12:7-10 (2) Ministry Gifts: Ephesians 4:8-11 and (3) Motivational Gifts: Romans 12:6-8. The different spiritual gift inventories were more from the composite of the three, as found in 1 Corinthians 12: 28-30. This may help to clarify the results being so different because various spiritual inventories are not specific as to what gifts they are assessing or whether it is specific to one category. Some go beyond these mentioned. None were just to decide the specific gift of motivation, though this book by Don & Katie Fortune:Discover Your God Given Gifts has one for you and for children. I don't have it with me here in Mexico or I could provide you with more details.
If you click on the Scripture underlined, it'll open to there.

The Greek word used in 1 Peter for "gift" is charisma. Charisma is defined as a "free gift" or
"a spiritual endowment"...it is not earned. Each individual already possesses this gift at birth.
You have a dominant gift and other gifts that support it.

Your motivational gift can be observed in your childhood, it is built into you when God formed you to be used for the benefit of others and for His Glory! Grace is given to us. Gifts are given to us. We don't deserve gifts, they are given freely.

These gifts are grace gifts because God loves us and freely gives them to us to possess, making them part of who we are, forming our personality. Since these gifts provide the force that motivates your life or life purpose, they are called motivational gifts. God has given humans a free will so that we can choose to use our motivational gift(s) appropriately or neglect them or even abuse them, but we each have been uniquely designed with motivational gift(s) from these 7 categories to function together as the Body of Christ: (1) Perceiver-the eye (2) Server-the hands (3) Teacher-the mind (4) Exhorter-the mouth (5) Giver-the arms (6) Administrator-
the shoulders (7) Compassion person-the heart. They are equal in value, collectively we each contribute to the function of the Body of Christ in His Church. We need each other to function!

Ephesians 4:7 -13

There are 5 gifts listed in Ephesians 4:8 as "domas" meaning to minister to the Body of Christ. The Ministry Gifts are: (1)prophet (2)apostle (3)pastor (4)teacher (5)evangelist. These are given for "equipping" the believers to do the work of Christ's Body on earth (via the Church).

1 Corinthians 12:7-10

Paul uses the Greek word phanerosis in 1 Corinthians 12:7-10 meaning "an exhibition, expression or manifestation" which has been understood to mean the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit at work through a believer giving us the Manifestation Gifts. These are the highly controversial ones among believers. But if you read this passage, you will see the 9 Manifestation Gifts:(1) Faith v.9 (2) The Word of Wisdom v.8 (3) The Word of Knowledge v.8 (4) Gifts of Healing v.9 (5) Working of Miracles v.10 (6) Prophecy v.10 (7) Discerning of spirits v. 10 (8) Various kinds of tongues and (9) Interpretation of tongues v.10.

God does not want to limit us or put us in boxes just like we should not limit HIM or put HIM in our own limited conceptual box, GOD is MUCH BIGGER! God designed these gifts to help one another not confine us! God would like us to use our gift(s) to a better understanding of one another. God gave us all gifts to use for HIS Glory and to help us fulfill our life purpose. They are all necessary: motivational (inspired and natural gifts) do not take the place of manifestational

gifts, given supernaturally. We are to seek being full of His Spirit and empty of our selves. As I tried to point out last week [but not very well], evident in my personal life journey, when God
calls you to do something outside of your motivational gift, HE will also give you an anointing that will enable you to do that something...

"God does not call the equipped, but equips those called."

What are your spiritual gifts? How are you using them for God's glory?

[I gave mine in Part 1 click here to go there]

Please share in my comments or leave your blog so we can read about your gifts!

or link on over at SEEK THE LORD SUNDAY

with Call Her Blessed (just click on underlined words)

Lord, Give us a teachable attitude and an open heart to allow Your Holy Spirit to guide us in Truth regarding the gifts of the Holy Spirit that You have bestowed and placed in us. Help us to be more effective Christians to win the lost, to battle the enemy, to excel in ministry, to fulfill our God given purpose. Holy Spirit, come and fill us afresh! Anoint our lives and help us prepare for these end times. Give us a clear understanding of Your Word & Your Will for us today! Lead us daily and show us how to use these gifts to equip & empower the body of Christ! Thank You for giving us our spiritual gifts! May these gifts bring You all the glory for Your Kingdom! Bring our loved ones, friends and family to a saving knowledge of You and a need to accept You as their Lord, Savior and King! Reign over our lives and grant us Your mercy and grace! In Jesus Name.

Bless each person, who reads these words, with eternal life...give them ears to hear and eyes to see...and let their mouths confess You as their Lord now and forevermore. Thank You! Amen.

"Carman was born in New Jersey where he grew up in an Italian home full of music and laughter...For over 26 years, Carman has entertained, encouraged and preached the Gospel to millions-crossing denominational, cultural and ethnic lines. During this time, he has never compromised the call to take the Gospel to every person. This vision still remains the hallmark of his life and ministry. "

Verse 1:
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, First Chief Justice John Jay.

Names synonomous with the spirit of our country, founding fathers of the U.S.A.

Over 200 years ago they shook off the chains of tyrany from Great Britain, by divine call.

Citing 27 biblical violations, they wrote the Declaration of Independence, with liberty, and justice, for all.

But something happened since Jefferson called the Bible the cornerstone for American liberty, then put it in our schools as a light.

Or since 'Give me liberty or give me death!' Patrick Henry said, our country was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We eliminated God from the equation of American life, thus eliminating the reason this Nation first began.

From beyond the grave I hear the voices of our founding fathers plead, you need God in America, again.

Of the 55 men who formed the Constitution, 52 were active members of their church. Founding fathers like Noah Webster, who wrote the first dictionary, could literally quote the Bible, chapter and verse.

James Madison said, 'We've staked our future on our ability to follow the 10 Commandments, with all our heart.'

These men believed you couldn't even call yourself an American, if you subvert the Word of God. In his farewell address, Washington said, 'You can't have national morality apart from Religious principal,' and it's true.

Cause right now we have nearly a hundred and fifty thousand kids carrying guns to these warzones we call public schools.

In the 40s and 50s student problems were chewing gum and talking, in the 90s, rape and murder are the trend.

The only way this nation can even hope to last this decade, is put God in America, again!

The only hope, for America, is Jesus. The only hope, for our country, is Him.

If we repent, of our ways, stand firm and say, 'We need God in America, again.'

Verse 2:

Abe Lincoln said, 'The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation, will be the philosophy of government in the next.'

So when you eliminate the Word of God from the classroom and politics, you eliminate the nation that Word protects.

America is now number one in teen pregnancy and violent crime, number one in illiteracy, drug use, and divorce.

Everyday a new holocaust of 5,000 unborn die, while pornography floods our streets like open sewers.

America's dead and dying hand is on the threshold of the Church, while the spirit of Sodom and Gomorrah vex us all.

When it gets to the point when people would rather come out of the closet than clean it, it's the sign the Judgement of God is gonna fall.

If there's ever been a time to rise up Church it's now, and as the blood-bought saints of the living God proclaim.

That it's time to sound the alarm from the Church House, to the White House and say,

'We want God, in America, again!' (We need God in America, God in America again).

I believe it's time America to stand up and proclaim, that 'One Nation Under God' is our demand!

And send this evil lifestyle back to Satan where it came from, and let the Word of God revive our dying land!

For Jesus Christ is coming back again in all His glory, and every eye shall see Him on that day. That's why a new annointing of God's power's comin on us, to boldly tell the World 'You must be saved!'

Because astrology won't save you, your horoscope won't save you, the Bible says these things are all a farce.

If you're born again you don't need to look to the stars for your answers, cause you can look to the very One who made those stars.

History tells us time and time again, to live like there's no God makes you a fool.

If you wanna see kids live right, stop handing out condoms, and start handing out the Word of God in schools!

(Chorus 2X)We need God, in America (We need) God in America
We need God, in America again
America again

What Truths do you hold on to today? What kind of a legacy do you want for our children or our children's children? Will they have a future?

Are you living freely? Is something holding you back or making you afraid, not at peace?

Do you believe it's time for a change? Are you ready to make a change in your life for the better?

If you don't know Jesus Christ, or have put off surrendering your life to Him, can I invite you to pray...just say...Jesus, I know that I have messed up many times, and I need your help! I'm just beginning to learn about You and believe the Truth you brought to this world. I want to be FREE from all my past. I want to start over. Thank You for dying on the cross at Calvary to give me freedom and eternal life, if I believe in You. Wash me clean. I place my life in Your hands. I'm ready to change and start to follow You! Help me to read Your Word to know You better. Give me friends that will teach me more about You! Thank You for accepting me! In Jesus Name. Amen.
