"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

One last
for a while
I'm thankful August
gave me one more Weds.
to hear this
{sent on 8/22/16}

It's really difficult for me to wait to share these "whispers" or to choose between the various places I collect God's Whispers ... and receive them from Jennifer Camp (LOOP) or Brian Simmons (TPT) devotional "I Hear His Whisper" or my real devotional book by Chris Tiegreen "Hearing His Voice"{every 7th one is written From the Heart of the God, which of course are my favorites} so I *'weigh' all my choices and then some ... thinking perhaps by August 31st, God will whisper one directly to me that I would be bold enough to write and share with you
(no, not yet, but one day) ... however ...

kept striking a chord in me
to share with you
{*can't say that it was the heaviest 'way' but the echo was resounding ... and ever so deep}
it may be because I have always loved the image of
John 15:15

"Lean back, now. I’ve got you. I circle my arms around you. I know what this day holds. A few twists and turns. A disappointment. A moment of beauty. A caress of your heart. (Yes, that’s Me.) I hold your heart.

Do you want your love for Me to grow? Do you want to live fearlessly, completely, surrounded by Me, with Me? Can you go ahead into new territory knowing you are not alone? Can your feet find the steps, your lungs the fresh air, your heart the pace I set?

I am with you.

You say ‘yes’ to where I call you and, of course, I am in it with you.

You do not go alone.

The only risk, then, is not trusting Me, not believing in my sovereignty, my arms around you, my whisper in your ear. (It is the ear of your heart, my dear.)

Go. Go forward, not back. Go. Do not stay in the old place. I am always creating newness, removing the old roots and pruning branches so that new growth sprouts and green shoots see the sun.

There is always blooming planned. Never stagnation. Never stunted growth. Never dried up soil and neglected branches withering alone. Oh, girl, you will bloom and your glory will shine and you will see my face. And now, with my arms around you, you are set to bloom.

Here, with Me, wherever you go, in all the ways you say ‘yes’ and let my tending to you occur, the blooming is taking place—and there is only more blooming to come.

I give you what you need, my daughter. Say ‘yes’, not ‘no’. Go forward, not back.
Let your roots in Me deepen, and I pull you, in all your possibility, forth. "~Jennifer Camp, LOOP devotional

and Jennifer chose this perfect song for the upcoming
two months or more of my

when I heard Hillsong's recording of this
it was an instant favorite

"Transfiguration" - "Transfiguracion"

    "in this light the junk undergoes a transfiguration; it shines"
    • Christ's appearance in radiant glory to three of his disciples (Matthew 17:2, Mark 9:2–3, Luke 9:28–36).
      noun: Transfiguration; noun: the Transfiguration
    • the church festival commemorating this, held on August 6.

God is deeply at work in all of us

"You have sought Me, My child"

"You have served Me, sought for Me, and loved Me, even though you have not seen Me. Even when your environment was not the best, your love flourished and you found Me as your faithful God. I will never cease to listen to your voice and answer your cry. My eyes are fixed on you. Continue to seek Me, even in your difficult places, even though it seems like darkness is all around you, and I will be the light of life within you."...
    (this was the one from TPT by Brian Simmons on that same day)

    Now you can perhaps  see
    why I wait and weigh
    which whisper is
    one for

    I pray I chose well for you

    IF GOD
    was speaking
    to me
    I'd have to concede to
    yet I still believe
    that there are/were others
    as well

    for One

    which means I need to really

    how do you do this best?

    inviting His Holy Spirit
    to come and breathe on you
    fill you mightily
    resting and soaking in
    His Presence and His Word
    letting His Truth
    free you and teach you
    to live and grow

    "HOPE for CHANGE"

    In between my series here,
    I thought I'd connect with this
    message series with Pastor Rick Warren
    "Hope for Change"
    just because of seeing this One Word
    {knowing my focus for the upcoming 2 months is on this word}

    Devotional image from Rick Warren

    ...“Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up. But if someone is alone and falls [into temptation], it’s just too bad, because there is no one to help him” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 GNT).

    "HOPE for CHANGE? Get Support"
    {whether you all realize this or not, you are my support}

    How serious are you about breaking free from the temptation in your life?

    Because if you are, let me be very blunt with you: You will never do it without support. You will never do it on your own. You won’t succeed in changing by yourself. Zero.

    But that doesn’t mean there’s no hope for change.

    In fact, once you understand you change on your own, you’ll be free to see how God is working to transform your life and how He uses other people to help you change.

    The truth is, God has wired us to need each other to grow. We need each other to break free of habits and hang-ups and hurts. You need accountability in your life. The very thing that you want least is the very thing you need most. You need a friend who checks up on you, and you need a group that supports you.

    The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, “Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up. But if someone is alone and falls [into temptation], it’s just too bad, because there is no one to help him” (GNT).

    You need somebody in your life to help you with the habits you want to change. You’re not going to change them on your own.

    Everybody is tempted. It is a myth that says you’re going to get to a point in your spiritual life where you’re not tempted. In fact, the more mature you become, the more Satan is going to put you on his “most wanted” list. If we were more consistent in confessing our temptations, we wouldn’t have to confess our sins.

    The Bible says, “Brothers and sisters, if someone in your group does something wrong, you who are spiritual should go to that person and gently help make him right again. But be careful, because you might be tempted to sin, too. By helping each other with your troubles, you truly obey the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:1-2 NCV).

    What’s the law of Christ? Love your neighbor as yourself. How do we love our neighbor as ourselves? By helping each other through temptation. By helping others be consistent in the things they want to be consistent in. By helping them break bad habits and start good habits. That’s the best way you can love your neighbor and obey the law of Christ. "Pastor Rick Warren, Daily Hope 6/27

    another S.O.S. ~ "Possess Your Inheritance"

    this S.O.S. is
    a change like Sat.'s was

    this S.O.S. is for
    Study On SONday
    as I often launch one later at 6pm
    for the week ahead of study
    which is the
    with Faith Gateway and
    Christine Caine

    WEEK 3
    {I did link it back here but I also wanted to share it here as a reminder}

    "Possess Your Inheritance"

    Scripture of the Week

    Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years... Deuteronomy 8:1-2

    Laurie McClure wrote "Out of Slavery, into the Wilderness" at  FaithGateway
    Chapter 6 in Christine's book "Unashamed..." is "The Beauty of the Wilderness"
    {it's optional to read the book, Chapter 7 and 8 also, which is what I'm reading}
    Chapter 7 - "God Moves In So We Can Move ON"
    Chapter 8 - "He Healed My Mind"
    Shame is fear-driven." ..."A life liberated from fear is one of the most powerful forces on the planet. God wants you to move forward and it’s going to take faith to do that. — CC "

    "Here’s something else about the deserts God allows in our lives: they change us from the inside out, never letting us forget who we are without God and how great He is for delivering us!" Laurie McClure ...

    Prayer for the Week

    God, You are good. You love us. You call us to leave our wilderness places, and to go forward and possess our inheritance, our freedom from shame. We want to be change by You through circumstances that feel way above our ability to handle. When we can’t, You can. When we’re terrified, You strengthen us and protect us. You don’t call us to be totally fearless (because we can’t), just more faithful! Help us to walk in faith, Jesus! We love you! Amen.{also from Laurie}

    I'm not too sure that we can SOAK as easily with a Study as a Song or Scene
    however, I am sure that I do need to SOAK on much of the content in these chapters, especially Chapter 8
    I'm going to
    Possess My Inheritance
    {I just had to sneak a song in anyways}
    How' bout you?

    we have the privilege and honor of a beautiful inheritance

    Take hold of yours, as I plan to

    I have all lots to say and all kinds of questions on inheritance
    but this will have to do for now

    S.O.S. Change ...

    Changing my S.O.S. for today
    I failed to get out a post when this new movie of
    "BEN HUR"
    released on
    August 19th, 2016
    {August 12th for some Christian audiences}

    Ben Hur (2016)
    "Fight the Good Fight, Finish the Race"

    ... and so
    I am making it the main feature for this last weekend in
    {even if it's being declared a "flop" by critics, not for me}
    as we know most critics view from an earthly perspective of

    [Trailer parts]

    Of course, I won't know until I get a chance to see for myself the full movie, but at least,
    from the scenes that I've seen, I'd like to see it
    and I am a fan of the original 1959 (or 1925?) classic
    {remember I was but a mere child then but a really theatrical one}
    however, I still would never compare them or pit one against the  other
    {it's not my style}

    {Here and here are two Christian reviews to keep the score kinda even}
    and this
    Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles, CA

    Once again through You Version, I was able to escape and enjoy tidbits of this "Ben Hur" movie, through a 7 day (probably promotional) reading plan but I saw it as an opportunity to view glimpses into "Ben Hur" and Jesus. {you do realize that's why most critics have problems with this and that they are looking for some breath-taking Biblical Spectacular!!! for the big bucks}

    from You Version reading plan

    Ben-Hur is a story set in the first century when Christ was on earth. But it isn’t a story about Jesus. It’s the story of a man whose life Jesus keeps interrupting. Like any historical fiction, Ben-Hur tells a story of fictionalized characters but in an accurate, historical setting. The scenes of Christ’s interactions with this story line are of course fictionalized, but as you’ll see, hold very true to the nature of the very real Jesus of Nazareth we read about in the gospels. This plan will explore five movie clips each with commentary from a different Christian leader. But today we’ll watch a music video from For King and Country that sets the stage for the movie’s themes of love, forgiveness, justice, and redemption."

    with these two readings from Scripture

    Matthew 10:34-42;  Isaiah 2:1-4
    so technically, this could be considered an
    because I'm sharing vivid
    via the movie, right?
    now this
    by King and Country

    {this is from "Movie Clips" but it's the same one that You Version shares on Day 1 and is listed as "unlisted" so be considerate and think twice before sharing}

    You can even enter

    "Share your story of rising up and overcoming adversity"

    "a trip for two to Israel"
    (see caption at the top)

    You Version Day 2 "Radical Love", Day 3 "Love as Revolution" (Rick Warren "Jesus Protects the Leper"), Day 4 "Mercy Triumphs Over Justice" {Yeah!} , Day 5 "Go and Do the Same" {that scene that the Archbishop above chose as his favorite} and Day 6 "Forgiveness and Healing", Day 7 "Back to You" is another song by Mary and Mary - by now it's time to see the full movie, don't you think? {I will have to remove the links to the videos soon}

    Oh and while I'm at it, viewing wonderful Christian Cinema ... there is one coming for just one day in the theaters (so I hear) this September 20th that I hope I'm in USA by then so I can see it (most likely I won't be but I can hope) ...  I have to share it today so maybe you can catch it (for me) and I don't forget "To Joey With Love" - a beautiful tribute and compilation of so much love for Joey (MartinFeek by her dear husband Rory (his blog)
