"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair."~from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

APOLOGY to READERS who followed a SEARCH to HERE & didn't find it

On July 18, 2017, I drafted almost 3000 blog posts that I had published since 2008 when I began blogging, rather than edit each one. So if you clicked here from somewhere else and ended up with the post unavailable or error, I am sorry but this is why. It'd be too much work for me to go back and fix them. There's an explanation on 7/19/17 as I'm still learning.

MN Decision America Tour Rally

June 16, 2016

"...This coming election could be the most critical in our nation’s history. What can you do?

• Follow the tour schedule and pray for each rally.
• Form a community prayer group with a few neighbors and friends and pray fervently for God to heal our land.
• Encourage your friends and family to register to vote.
• Remind your loved ones in another state about their local prayer rally.
• Pray about running for office yourself.
• Vote for candidates who support biblical values."

LOVED seeing the MN Photos even with the Capitol Gold dome in repair status!

2014

for 31 days in October

I am no longer able to add PAGES (who knows why(?): I have, like 21 already; as you can tell, they are not published, but saved as a draft) so that I could share Darlene Schacht's Marriage Challenge - 31 Days of Prayer for our marriages.

I shared a post that I have linked above and would love to share daily during October, however, I already have that scheduled and done... so we'll see where or how I can share PRAYERS, but I'll certainly try ... HERE'S DAY 1 ... and I have decided to start a BLOG POST to keep each one of these together ...

MISSION PRAYER
with
OPERATION WORLD

In my other personal blog MISSIONS, right at the top, there's a button I have to direct us with a focus of PRAYING for COUNTRIES/areas in the world with OPERATION WORLD that shares a place each day and how to pray.

"Understanding Prayer in light of God's Kingdom

"THERE IS NO DOUBT AS TO CALL OF GOD FOR US TO PRAY!

BECAUSE...

Prayer is an act of faith
Prayer is an act of obedience
Prayer is an act of worship
Prayer is an act of warfare
Prayer is an act of sacrifice
Prayer is an act of labor
Prayer is an act of love

... but maybe you feel 'Why pray for the nations", I hardly know how to pray for myself or others closest to me... or in need as I encounter in blogosphere ... or "How to start when the needs are so many". Under the tab PRAYER MOVEMENT, they share articles on just this...

"Join people from every nation, praying for people in every nation, sign up now and pray that the glory of God would fill the earth! You will receive daily prayer reminders for a different country or need somewhere in the world. Through your prayers, you will change lives and nations. Beginning tomorrow, for the first 60 days, you will receive an email with a link back to the prayer content for a specific country ... "

Please consider deepening your spiritual life this year with PRAYING, praying for others... yourself ... our world

IMPORTANT WARNING and ANNOUNCEMENT... currently (end of 2016-2017) The Lighthouse of Prayer, which the following information is about, was temporarily closed down due to someone inserting malicious ads in 3 places on the blog ... I call it "spam" and I have no idea how it was done or inserted except to call it a "hack".  So for now, until I am able to fix or change this problem and I have been working on it, I would advise all readers to stay away and of course, not follow that "white" AD for free stuff. It is not from The Lighthouse of Prayer. So please pray for protection of this website! Thank you. {hopefully on 1/2/2017 in the evening it was fixed-we'll see.}

This was started as a TEAM BLOG with the intention that everyone would participate by praying for one another and lifting up others in prayer as we encounter needs or people.

THE FOLLOWING IS TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM THE LIGHTHOUSE OF PRAYER SO YOU MIGHT UNDERSTAND HOW IT IS SUPPOSE TO WORK OVER THERE.

PERSONAL PRAYER REQUESTS AND HOW THE LIGHTHOUSE WORKS

If this is your first visit, please stop by here and read a little bit about our ministry--how we are joining together to lift others to God in prayer. Maybe you come across someone that needs prayer while visiting blogs, instead of just saying, "Praying for you", bring their prayer need or your prayer here and let them know that you left a prayer at the Lighthouse of Prayer for them.

This is an interactive blog based on a comment and response system. PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE, THANKS in the place that would normally read comments after the most recent post but here it will read "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD."

We'd love to see your prayer requests, praises to God, in this comment area and others will be supporting you through their prayers written as a response to your comment there. Be sure to come back and see the prayers lifting you & yours together to the LORD!

PLEASE LOOK FOR the POST for weekly PETITIONS usually with this:

"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."...(Matt 18:20)

NOTE: I thought when I added standalone pages that I'd be able to add pages for each of the following but it does not work like that, so I have more to add here ...

There are other PRAYER blogs and places to leave or ask for prayer but here are weekly memes/carnivals available to pray with and for others...
some may no longer exist or be correctly linked.

Faithful Prayers

PRAYER CENTRAL

In one of my daily reading plan with YouVersion, Joyce Meyer shared the following and it goes so well with not only my Blog Verse but for where I am right now, I just had to save it in a place that I can always come to and read it again with the HOPE that it will also speak to others. So since I chose the PRAYER page, I start out with her prayer and then the devotional, which actually was not for Isaiah 61 but Psalm 103:12.

Prayer Starter: God, I know it doesn't do me any good to hang on to the past when You lovingly stand before me with a fresh chance, so I let go of my ashes. I give them to You, excited to see the beauty that You will bring from them ... Watching and waiting as You turn my messes into miracles! I'm so thankful I have a Heavenly Father that I trust and know that You will turn my mistakes around for good. You make something beautiful out of the ashes. You desire good for me and no harm will come. Forgive me for my many shortcomings and failures. Praise You and thank You for the many do-overs and second chances! I am so grateful that Your mercies are new every morning. You removed my transgressions and I no longer need to carry them or be burdened by them in any way. I release them to You. All of my past. All of my ashes. Any destruction I caused or was done to me. I forgive and ask You to rebuild and restore in Jesus Name.

Give Him Your Ashes

When we let God take our messes and turn them into miracles, the Father has the ability to use our mistakes for our good if we will only trust Him.

Isaiah 61:3 says He will give us "beauty instead of ashes," but I find that many people want to hold on to their ashes, the cinders of the past, as reminders of their shortcomings and failures. I encourage you to let go of your ashes and reach for something new.  Too many people live in the past, feeling like they'll never have another chance. Do you need a second chance? Ask God for a second chance or a third, fourth or fifth, whatever you need. God is full of mercy and long-suffering. His loving-kindness never fails or comes to an end. The Bible says that He has removed your transgressions from you, so you don't have to hang on to them anymore.  Jesus came to lift burdens, but you must be willing to let them go and believe He is greater than your mistakes. Give Him your ashes today.
