"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

ONE WORD

IT'S A NEW THING!

Better than any resolution making
at least for me

Each year

FOCUS
on

*My One Word
{which is best explained in either of these places}

My One Word

One Word

and for
2016
 there was a
CHANGE
of pace for this year
(see 2016 below)

{I found this new ONE WORD site... and so I'm doing this according to their plan}

There's  another great community for support
with

and

of course, there's Bonnie Gray's 2014 link-up for

I'm sure she has one for 2016 too and each year

One Word

iBelieve

of course the One Word is BELIEVE not iBelieve
however
this makes it more personal and I'm owning it
but if a website
{that I frequent and love}
can name themselves this
I figure I can use it also that way
perhaps it was their site and Daily Prayer
that influenced my choice
yet
i Believe
it's really connected to my
One Word
from
2017
(so I can continue on this work in progress)
because
I'm pretty sure I heard God
whisper and then shout
BELIEVE
at me
and
for me and you
just
BELIEVE
and
WALK
in what you claim to
BELIEVE

2017
so far the Lord seems to have laid

HEALING

on my heart for my

ONE WORD

after spending the first 40 days in Prayer

I hope to decide or have this confirmed

yet this is the verse

that came to me

HOPE
for
2014

MY HOPE

You can do a "search" on my blog for HOPE and find all the many posts related to MY ONE WORD and how God is showing me more about HOPE every day in 2014.

In 2015, I came upon this excellent book by Pastor Rene Schlaepfer (but there's not a Kindle version however I found it online): The Hope Experience "50 days of Hope" (Week 1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) "What is the Hope Experience?" and "Hope Projects" {similar to mine on another Page here}. I just did not want to miss out on any experience in HOPE. This is a great addition to my 2014 One Word and I needed to preserve this book/study to read or go to when I need to stir up my HOPE. Just wish I had known about this back in 2014 but as I wrote, I don't think God or I am done with My One Word HOPE (now or back then), there is always room for more HOPE and encouraging others to HOPE

APOLOGY

On July 18, 2017, I drafted almost 3000 blog posts that I had published since 2008 when I began blogging rather than edit each one. So if you clicked from somewhere and ended up here and the post was unavailable, I am sorry. It would be too much work for me to go back through each one and fix. I guess I'm still learning. I apologize also to anyone who subscribes that perhaps received many old ones in your email. There's somewhat of an explanation on 7/19/17.
